Lands Beyond

Lands Beyond is an exploration of Edinburgh-based artist Beth Garner's inspirations. In 2021 and 2022, as the world went through a very unusual succession of lockdowns, social restrictions and reopenings, Beth sought to find artistic sense in the new paradigm of a post-pandemic world.

Edinburgh's landscapes, its nature and the sea play an important role on her reflexions. With repeated visits to Portobello and Holyrood Park, every day brings the familiar under a new light.

As time flows, Beth's style develops into an almost abstract representation of these daily sights, as well as of the mental landscapes of what lies in all the lands beyond.
